REACH 4 PEACE PICNIC
Our Reach 4 Peace Picnic is a day when local businesses and organizations come out and educate the community about their products, programs and services. Everyone is welcome and invited to free food, face painting, bounce houses, pony rides, haircuts, and each year, something more. It is a free community event that brings the community together for one day of family fun. We have booths and activities set up so it’s a day of learning and fun filled activities for the whole family. Every year we invite other local non-profits so they can distribute helpful information about their organizations. We take a lot of pride in our Reach 4 Peace Picnic. Our event’s mission is to promote community awareness and community togetherness. We also invite health care specialist to provide free screenings for the youth and adults. During our event, we also recognize three outstanding men with the “Father of the Year” award. Fathers are hardly ever recognized, so we take that opportunity to show that someone sees their contributions and appreciates what they do for their families and the community. With the “Father of the Year” awards, we want to show our youth that there are men – fathers – who are on a positive path. Young people can look up to these men as mentors and as role models in the community. During our 2017 10th annual event, hosted on Father’s Day, Denver City Mayor Michael Hancock delivered a proclamation recognizing our work. At the time, we had several nonprofit booths come out and educate our community members about what free services were available to them. Your support will help us reach more people this year and we’re counting on generous donors like you to help change our community
SACKS OF LOVE
Nearly 1 in 7 Colorado kids (14%) may not always know when or where they will get their next meal.
We recently opened the doors to a community FOOD PANTRY located in the Montbello community. Your donations will help us stock our Food Pantry which we will make available to those in our community that are in need every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We provide nonperishable food items as well as fresh produce. For every $300 we raise, we will be able to feed 25 families twice a month. Join us in our fight against hunger. We accept monetary donations as well as food donations.
Please help us Feed our community by making a donation today.

MENTOR & LEADERSHIP
We have a year-round sports and mentor program, which is designed for underprivileged youth who’s families cannot afford to cover the cost of competitive sports. Through our sports program, we provide an outlet for at risk youth or those involved in gangs and uplift them. We want to make sure they are not left out or left behind. We offer an outlet for youth to participate in sports activities and mentor sessions that help them grow athletically, mentally and physically into responsible young adults. Since we not only focus on athletics, a great source of exercise promoting active and healthy living, our organization is also very active in the community.
Our participants are required to commit to 30 hours of community engagement activities throughout the year so they know the importance of giving back to their community. The goal of the program is to ensure the life skills we teach are incorporated into the lifestyles of youth and young adults with a focus on the importance of getting an education, finding and keeping a job, building self-esteem and confidence and overall creating a healthy lifestyle.
